Add Sub Maths

Fluency slides – revision of everything

To use addition and subtraction strategies to solve problems. 

Using  Add Sub Maths Start with Slide 2 review Add and Sub vocab. Then ask students to write these examples in their Maths book.

Following this – Go through slides 3,4,5 to review the correct regrouping methodology.

Finally- Slide 6- Ask students to have a go at completing as many of these problems as they can in 5 minutes.

Introduce EB Sports store Business Challenge to the students. Run through the task. 

Students complete all their working out in their Maths Book.

 They must Layout all of the working and clear reasoning for the process.

En 1 ( Lowest): Students complete slide 10.

En 2 (Middle):  Students complete slide 11.

Ex: Students complete slide 12.
