Have a collection of 24 match sticks. 

We are going to make 2 echidnas, and we need to share the spikes ‘equally’, to make it fair and so no echidnas get jealous. 

Model one for you, one for me to  promote equal sharing. record answer on board matching text in the image below.

repeat with 4 echidnas and 5. if there are ‘leftovers, we call them remainders’.
