In a circle, select one student and trace their body onto big paper. 

Discuss, how could we measure the body? Hands, feet, paper clips, unifix, books (same size) etc. 

Model how to measure it. Where do we start, and finish?

Students work in mixed ability groups.

select one person to trace. With their group, students decide on what they will use to measure the length of the body. record this information on the body by drawing and writing how many units were used eg. 10 hands.
