Launch:

Pose a question to the grade e.g. Do you like toy cars? Yes or No

Students place a post it note on the board and this records a small bar graph.

Can we show this information in another way e.g. a tally, ticks and crosses, a picture graph.

Create a yes/no question. (students choose a toy). Ask 10 people and work out a way to record the result.
