Travelling with liquids overseas

Make a magic potion:

Fill the larger cup with 100mls of water and the smaller cup with 10mls of water.

Add a few drops of food coloring to each cup to make it look like a magic potion.

Let the kids see the difference in volume visually.

Challenge them to transfer the water from the small cup (10mls) to the large cup (100mls), counting how many syringes or spoons it takes to fill up the larger cup.

What about transferring 100mls into a litre?

How many 100mls would we need?

How many 10mls would take to fill 1Litre.

How many 10mls would take to fill 200mls, 300mls etc
