Magic Number Grid

Students use this number grid to find solutions to set problems. 

Rules

• Numbers must be joined (no jumping over squares)
• You can join vertically, horizontally or diagonally

Example Questions

• Circle two or more numbers that add to 10.
• Circle two or more numbers that add to 17.

Enabling:

• Create smaller grid, circle 2 numbers that add to 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.

Extending: Create larger grid with more 2 digit numbers.

• Circle 3 or more numbers that add to 50, 63…
• Circle a sequence _ + _ – _ =12.
• Use x and ÷ to find solutions.
