Look at the different weird and wonderful staircases. Talk about which one would be the tallest, which one would be the smallest?

Explore:

Have a play with either lego, unifix or cuisenaire rods.

Make towers or staircases?

Can you make towers that are the same size? Can you make towers that are different sizes?

See how many towers that you can make that are the same size as the orange rod. How many different towers can you make that are the same size as the orange rod?
