Addition- Counting On Frank

Perhaps have a bowl and this is a bath. How can we fill it. Put two different items in the bath e.g. red counters and now place in yellow counters. How can we count this quickly. Focus on I know how many red counters I have so I know count on. How can I create a number sentence to show this?

What two items can you fit inside the TV. e.g. you might put hexagons on one side and squares on the other. Now create a way to show this: e.g. number sentence, number line, tens frame.
