Lolly Thief Task (slides 12-16).

Introduce the students to the task through the following prompt:

Oh no! The thief has gone on to steal all the lollies from the teacher’s lolly jars. Can you help the teachers find out how many lollies were taken from each of their jars?

To solve, students can make a model, draw a picture  or write an equation. Can provide number lines and hundreds charts if needed.
