Kangaroos Jumps- Measurement

You are going to be a kangaroo- 

Measure  how long your jump is- This will need to be with a partner using informal units. 

What would be the best way to measure this?

(hands, feet, unifix?)

Now place the number you measured  on a number line.

Were your jumps the same distance apart? Or were there differences.

What about your friends’ jumps was their jumps different or the same to yours. What was the difference?

Extension: Compare the difference between your jump and a kangaroo over ten jumps. A kangaroo jumps 13.5m per jump or 45 feet.
