First, Then, Last
Learning Intention: I can use first, next, last to describe the order of actions and events
1. Give simple instructions: First touch your head, then clap your hands, last sit down.
Repeat with different actions: first jump, then spin, last freeze
Ask: What did we do first? What did we do last?
2. Act out a sequence: First put on a hat, then open a book, last go to sleep
Students guess the order / invite students to have a go for the class to guess.
Students draw 3 actions in the boxes. They then tell a classmate their actions using ‘first, next, last, and have the friend act them out.
Swap turns. Repeat with other classmates.
