What strategies can you use?

Predict which colour has the most?

Now prove it: This we would like to see either tallies or pictographs. However don’t tell them how to present it.

Enabling-

Less smarties ( however they can eat the same amount)

Give kids tens frames

Give kids template to sort.

Extending-

Place your information in as many ways as possible. e.g. tallies, pictograph, possible bar graph.
