Use the ‘Wishball’ series of digital resources in which students apply their understanding of place value, addition and subtraction.

This task can be differentiated depending on students’ understanding of number and place value. As a guide:

• Wishball challenge: hundreds (numbers up to 1000)
• Wishball: whole numbers (numbers up to 10 000)
• Wishball challenge: hundredths (numbers to two decimal places).
