The Lorax Dilemma

This is a multi-lesson budgeting lesson that uses a theme of the Lorax by Dr Seuss. You may choose to read the book to them prior to the lesson.

Students take on the role of the Onceler, and must choose how many truffula trees to plant, cut down and harvest to make Thneeds. They must then try to maintain a sustainable business model for three years. They can choose to expand if they want to, must pay for living expenses and can even be extended to calculate and pay taxes too.
