Function Machine – Assessment / Rubric Task

A simple, quick task to assess the students understanding of function machines, and their ability to use different variations of the four operations, and algebraic rules, to solve problems in different ways.

Students are to complete three different ‘Plates of food’ for the robot to eat. Each plate needs to be a complete meal, that is, it solves the number sentence. This way, students should give three different answers for each problem.
