Flipper – Addition Warm Up

Materials: A deck of cards or a dice

Rules:

1. Shuffle the deck of cards and lay it face down on the table.
2. Say ‘Go’ and flip over one card at a time.
3. Keep turning over the cards and add up each time to keep a running total.
4. After 1 minute – ‘stop’.
5. Record your total and the number of cards that you turned over.
6. Check with mum/ dad that your total is correct
7. Try to beat your score!
