Domino Subitising

Explore dominos. Have the children put the dominoes in an order.

Place a half a domino on the board. How many more do we need to make 10? Put the missing dots on the other side of the domino.

Dominoes. Give each child a number. On their blank dominoes worksheet, how many dominoes can they create to make the total of their number? e.g. the number 10, they could use one domino with 5/5 or two dominoes with 2/4 and 2/2.

Practise writing the numeral next to each domino.
