Toothpick Patterns
Toothpick and staircase patterns
Use 4 toothpicks to build a square, 7 toothpicks to build two connected squares, 10 toothpicks to make 3 connected squares etc.
Is there a pattern? Draw the stairs in your grid book and record the pattern.
Enabling: Use toothpicks, pencils, MAB or straws to help students create the staircases.
